My name is Bianca, and I enjoy a variety of experiences ranging from food and drink to art and history. I am based in California and am married with two French bulldogs. I created this blog to document all of my journeys, whether it is walking through Kyoto's geisha district in Japan or enjoying an espresso martini in a hidden speakeasy in California. I hope to capture the moments and relay them in an honest way so that you can use it as a resource when planning your next trip.

There is no gatekeeping here, and I will share my journey in its entirety so that you can get the information you need. I believe that authentic experiences can be much more resourceful for planning a trip rather than just asking ChatGPT to populate a travel itinerary alone. I am excited that you are here to journey with me, and I hope you can use this blog to help with your own personal journey!

About Me:

How it Started:

When I traveled to Japan in November 2024, I embraced the concept of living in the moment and not stressing about the final destination of each day. Firstly, I was on the other side of the world, and everyone I knew back home was in a different time zone than me. This gave me the freedom to soak everything in and to not focus on checking social media or emails since everyone was asleep. I felt like I could be fully present in everything I did and live life as it was meant to be lived-- not in the past or the future.

Secondly, being in a new environment heightened my senses, and I was more aware of where I was going (like navigating public transportation), what I was doing (like eating at an authentic ramen house), and who I was with (spending quality time with my sister). My journey in Japan allowed me to get out of my autopilot brain I was used to in the States and instead step into something more invigorating, challenging, and rewarding.

Lastly, when I opened up the opportunity to be present, the trip seemed to last longer. I held onto each moment like it was the last bite of decadent chocolate. It was one of the first times that I truly felt alive, and it jumpstarted my interest to travel more and to experience new things.

I hope to inspire others to live in the present moment, and to not focus so much on the destination since it is the journey that makes up the entire experience.
